The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Nomusa Dube-Ncube together with Members of the Executive will lead the World TB Day in UMgungundlovu District. The aim of this event, which is commemorated annually, is to create awareness about Tuberculosis (TB), which is currently affecting a significant number of people in the Province.
This event will bring together healthcare professionals, policymakers, advocates and community members to discuss and collaborate on strategies to eliminate TB.
The World TB Day will be commemorated under the theme: “Yes! You and I Can End TB”. Premier Dube-Ncube will launch #ZikhalaKanjani Campaign, which is a sub-set of the Provincial Implementation plan for HIV & AIDS TB and STI.
This campaign is designed to amplify youth voices and mobilize their active participation in the HIV and AIDS response.
