President Ramaphosa and the Premier joined His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini who led the Royal family and amabutho at the 110th-anniversary commemoration of King Dinuzulu kaCetshwayo at KwaCeza Sports Field in Zululand on 16 March 2024.
The event marked a significant milestone in honouring the legacy of King Dinuzulu, a revered figure in Zulu history. President Cyril Ramaphosa and KwaZulu-Natal Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube paid their respects by laying a wreath at the grave of King Dinuzulu in eBukhosini, KwaNobamba, Ulundi.
The commemoration brought together dignitaries, members of the Royal family, and the community to reflect on the contributions and leadership of King Dinuzulu. His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini presided over the ceremonies, emphasising the importance of remembering and preserving the rich heritage and traditions of the Zulu nation.
As the sun set over the historic grounds of KwaCeza Sports Field, speeches were delivered, paying tribute to the enduring legacy of King Dinuzulu and the significance of his reign in shaping the history of the Zulu people.
The commemoration served as a reminder of the resilience and strength of the Zulu nation, as well as a call to future generations to uphold the values and principles exemplified by King Dinuzulu kaCetshwayo.
